Privacy Policy

How THE325 handles your information — across both the325.us and the THE325 mobile app for Android and iOS.

Effective April 23, 2026 (r2)

Short version

We don't collect personal information from you. There are no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising trackers, no location tracking, and no push notifications in the mobile app. The app talks to our own server (the325.us) to fetch events, businesses, deals, and lake & weather readings — that's it.

1. Who we are

THE325 is a community information service operated by Nathan Bradshaw covering Brown County, Texas. This policy applies to the THE325 website at the325.us and the THE325 mobile apps distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

2. What we collect from you

The mobile app collects nothing from you directly. It has no sign-up, no login, no location access, no device identifier tracking, no ad SDKs, and no analytics beacons.

When the app (or website) loads a page or screen, your device makes an HTTPS request to our server. Our server receives the standard information any web server receives — IP address, user agent string, the URL requested, and the time — for the purpose of operating the service, preventing abuse, and producing aggregate traffic counts. We do not sell, share, or analyze this data at an individual level.

We do not use cookies on the website for tracking. A session cookie is set only if you actively sign in to the internal admin area (which is not available to the public).

If you submit our support form, the name, email address, and message you provide are delivered to us by email and are used only to reply to your request. We do not add you to any mailing list, and the submission is not stored in a database on our servers beyond the email itself.

3. Data shown inside the app & site

The events, businesses, deals, lake levels, and weather you see are pulled from these third-party sources by our server, not by your device:

  • U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) — Lake Brownwood elevation and water temperature from gauge 08143000.
  • National Weather Service (NOAA) — current weather observations at KBWD (Brownwood Regional Airport).
  • Google Places — business names, ratings, hours, and contact info for local listings.
  • Visit Brownwood — public event listings.

Your device never contacts these services directly, so those third parties do not receive any information about you through your use of THE325.

4. What we share

Nothing. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with third parties because we don't collect user data to begin with.

5. Data retention

Web server access logs (IP + URL + timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for operational and security purposes, then rotated out. No personally identifying information is extracted, indexed, or persisted beyond that window.

6. Children's privacy

THE325 is a general-audience community information service. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Because we don't collect personal information from users, there is no account to delete and no personal data to request, correct, or export. If you believe we hold information about you that you'd like reviewed or removed, email us at the address below and we'll investigate promptly.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK-GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA. Those rights apply here; the practical effect is the same because we don't maintain user profiles.

8. Security

All traffic between your device and our server is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). Our server infrastructure is hosted on managed shared hosting with standard operational controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but because we do not store personal data, the impact of a compromise on users is structurally limited.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Contact

Questions, corrections, or privacy requests can be sent through our Help | Support | Suggestions form. We reply to the email address you provide in the form.
